Algebra Interactive Notebooks

7/8/13
Today, I've been working on setting up my Interactive Notebook for Algebra 1.  This one is easier for me since I just taught Algebra 1 last year, so the concepts are fresh and I have my lesson plans easily available to know the order of concepts.

I started out setting up a 3 ring binder.  Right now I have it in a 1/2 inch binder, but I'm considering moving it to a 1 inch binder.  I want to stay as small as possible since my students will be responsible to bring this to class each day, but still have room for everything throughout the year.  I used basic 5 tab dividers to set up the sections.

Section 1 - Class Information and Contents Pages
Section 2 - Grade Sheets and Homework (Menus/Rubrics)
Section 3 - Vocabulary
Section 4 - Notes
Section 5 - Quizzes/Tests

The contents pages are pretty basic like this one for the notes section.

I have the first two pages of notes roughed out.  First a Venn Diagram of the Real Number System and then Cornell Notes on Variables and Expressions.

More on my next update! :)
